  • Why you need Age verification for Magento 2 ?
    • The extension enables store merchants to enable the age verification process in a few simple steps. It essentially allows store owners to restrict customers under a certain age from browsing the website’s content.
    • The extension allows website administrators to choose which products/pages should display the verification pop-up. If a user arrives at a page restricted by the website administrator for verification while browsing the store, a window will immediately pop up asking them to verify their age.

  • Extension Installation
    • Download the zip file
    • Extract it and put into /app/code/
    • Open Cli in the Magento directory and follow the below commands:
      • php bin/magento setup:upgrade
      • php bin/magento setup:di:compile
      • php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
      • php bin/magento cache:clean
      • php bin/magento cache:flush

  • Configuration:
    • Configuration Login to the Admin Magento,Choose Stores > Configuration > VDCSTORE.
  • Step 1:
    • General Configuration :
      • You can enable/disable the extension.
      • Upon selecting Yes, You can enter the API key in the second input field.
      • To generate API Key, Click on the hyperlink “OpenAI API Key” and refer to step 2
      • After entering the API key, the Client ID and Client Secret fields values will be auto generated.
      • Click on Save Config and you will be able to see the chatbot icon as shown in the screenshot.
  • Step 2 :
    • You can enter the details as per your preference in the popup box as shown in the screenshot.
    • Click on “Create Secret Key” to generate the API Key
  • Step 3:
    • Upon completing step 2, you will get the key as shown in the screenshot.
    • Copy the key and paste it to the field “OpenAI API Key” shown in the first step.
  • Step 4:
    • Upon saving the configuration, when you click on the chatbot icon, you will be able to see the chat popup box as shown in the screenshot.
  • Step 5:
    • When you click on the Blue Plus sign on the top right corner of the chat popup, you will be able to trigger a new chat as shown in the screenshot.
    • You can use the “Search” functionality in the chatbot to locate any previous chat that incudes the searched words.
  • Step 6:
    • When you type any message in the chatbot and send it, you will be able to see the AI Vdcstore Bot typing the response to your message.
    • As shown in the second screenshot, you will get a response from the chatbot and you can continue the conversation forward.
  • Step 7:
    • You can ask any question related to Magento and you will get an answer in command format as it is visible in the screenshot.

  • Step 8:
    • When you ask questions related to products, categories etc, you will get the answer from the chatbot in a tabular format as shown in the screenshot.
