User Guide
1. Introduction
The Delivery Date Manager Extension for Magento 2 allows store owners to enable customers to select a preferred delivery date and time slot during checkout.
This improves:
- Customer experience
- Order planning & fulfillment control

The extension integrates seamlessly with Magento checkout and admin order management.
Steps:
Extension Installation
- Download the zip file
- Extract and put it into /app/code/
- Open Cli in the Magento directory and follow the below commands:
- php bin/magento s:up
- php bin/magento s:d:c
- php bin/magento s:s:d -f
- php bin/magento i:rei
- php bin/magento c:f
- php bin/magento cron:install
- php bin/magento cron:run
General Configuration
STEP 1: Navigate to Configuration
- Go to: Admin → Stores → Configuration → VDCStore → Delivery Time Slots

Step 2: Enable the Extension
- Set Enable = Yes
- Click Save Config
Step 3: Configure Allowed Delivery Days
Under Allowed Days for Delivery:
- Select the days customers can choose delivery.
- Example: Monday – Friday

Step 4: Display Total Number of Days
- Enter number of future days visible to customers.
- Example: 7 (shows next 7 days)
Step 5: Minimum Required Time in Order Process
Â
- Define minimum processing time before delivery is available.
- Example: 1 (customer cannot select same-day delivery)
Step 6: Customize Error Message
In Slot Not Available Error, enter message shown if slot unavailable:
Example:
Delivery Time Slot is not available.
Click Save Config.

4. Managing Delivery Time Slots
Step 1: Navigate to Time Slot Management
Go to:
Admin → Delivery Time Slots → Add/Remove Time Slots
Step 2: Add Time Slots
For each day:

- 1.Select Day (e.g., Monday)
- 2.Enter Start Time (e.g., 10:00 AM)
- 3.Enter End Time (e.g., 05:00 PM)
- 4.Enter Quotas (maximum orders allowed)
- 5.Set Status = Enabled
- 6.Click Save Time Slots
Repeat for other days.
Step 3: Edit or Delete Slots
- Use delete icon to remove a slot.
- Modify time or quota as needed.
- Save changes.

5. Frontend – Customer Experience
Step 1: Customer Adds Product to Cart
Customer selects product and proceeds to checkout.
Step 2: Shipping Method Page
Customer sees:
- Available shipping methods
- Delivery Date selector
- Delivery Time Slot selector
Step 3: Select Delivery Date
Customer chooses preferred date from available list.

Step 4: Select Time Slot
Available time slots are displayed per date.
If slot quota is full:
- Slot will not be selectable.
- Custom error message appears.
Step 5: Review & Payment
Selected Delivery Date and Time appear in:
- Order Summary
- Shipping Information
Step 6: Place Order
Customer confirms order.
Admin Order View
Go to:
Admin → Sales → Orders → View Order
You will see:
- Delivery Date
- Delivery Time
- Shipping Method
- Order Details
This allows warehouse teams to prepare dispatch accordingly.
7. Time Slot Orders Grid
Navigate to:
Admin → Delivery Time Slots → Time Slot Orders
You can:
- View Order ID
- Delivery Date
- Time From / Time To
- Grand Total
- View order details
This helps with:
- Delivery planning
- Daily order load balancing
- Route planning
